How We Handle Your Information

Last updated: October 29, 2026

This page lists, item by item, the personal information and on-device data handled by the app "Don't Be Late!" (オクレルナ!, iOS and Android, the "App"): why it is used, where it is kept, for how long, where it is sent and how to stop it. See also the Privacy Policy and Information Sent from the App. If the Japanese and English versions differ, the Japanese version prevails.

1. Operator

2. Information handled

The App has no user accounts, and we do not operate any server that receives your information. Items whose recipient is "None" never leave your device.

2-1. Both iOS and Android

ItemPurposeWhere it is keptRetentionSent toHow to stop or delete
Calendar events (title, start and end times, calendar name) Showing your events and scheduling alarms (notifications and vibration) before them Not saved in the App's storage (used in memory). The event title and start time are registered with the OS's notification / alarm scheduler Re-read each time you open the App or a background refresh runs; not retained. Scheduled alarms disappear once they fire or are rescheduled None Deselect the calendar in the Calendar tab, or revoke calendar access in the device settings
IDs of the calendars you select and of events you mute Remembering which calendars to watch and which events not to ring for On your device (iOS: UserDefaults / Android: DataStore) Until you delete the App (on iOS, a mute for a single occurrence is removed automatically one day after it starts) None Change them in the App, or delete the App
App settings (notification timing, vibration strength, onboarding completed, morning reminder on/off and time (iOS)) Restoring your settings the next time you open the App On your device (iOS: UserDefaults / Android: DataStore) Until you delete the App None Change them in Settings, or delete the App
Your personalized-ads choice (allow / don't allow) Applying your choice to ad delivery On your device (iOS: UserDefaults / Android: SharedPreferences) Until you delete the App Only the result is passed to the Pangle SDK "Ad settings" in the App's Settings
Advertising identifier (iOS IDFA / Android advertising ID), IP address and the approximate region inferred from it, device information (model, OS, language and so on), ad views and taps, SDK diagnostics Ad delivery, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention (Pangle) The identifier is managed by the OS; once sent, on Pangle's servers Under Pangle's policy Pangle (only after you answer the ad choice and while ads are shown; never while you have the Premium plan) Choose "Don't allow" in "Ad settings" (ads are still shown but not personalized). On iOS use the device's Tracking setting; on Android delete or reset the advertising ID in the device's Ads settings. Send access or deletion requests to Pangle
Purchase status (whether the Premium plan is active). The Premium plan is offered in the iOS app (6.0 and later); the Android app does not offer it at this time Providing Premium benefits such as removing ads Purchases are managed by the App Store / Google Play; the App caches only the result on your device The cache is kept until you delete the App Apple / Google when you purchase, restore or the App checks status (payments are processed by each store; we never handle card details) Cancel in the subscription settings of the store you bought from (deleting the App does not cancel it)

2-2. iOS only (Google Calendar and Outlook integration)

Google Calendar integration is a Premium feature of the iOS app (6.0 and later). Outlook integration is in preparation (the App shows it as "Coming soon" and you cannot connect yet). Only if you connect an account, the App handles the following.

ItemPurposeWhere it is keptRetentionSent toHow to stop or delete
The list of your Google Calendar / Outlook calendars and the events in the calendars you select (title, start and end times, all-day or not, cancelled or not, your own response). Read-only Ringing alarms for, and showing, the events of the connected account Not saved in the App's storage (used in memory). The event title and start time are registered with iOS notifications Re-read each time you open the App or a background refresh runs; not retained. Scheduled notifications disappear once they fire, are rescheduled or you disconnect None (fetched directly from Google / Microsoft to your device; never sent to us or third parties) "Disconnect" in the Calendar tab
The connected account's email address (for Outlook, sometimes the display name) and whether it needs to be reconnected Showing which account is connected and whether the connection has expired On your device (UserDefaults) Until you disconnect or delete the App None "Disconnect" in the Calendar tab
Sign-in tokens (OAuth 2.0 access and refresh tokens) Reading the connected calendars The iOS Keychain (encrypted by the OS, kept on this device only, never moved to backups or other devices) Until you disconnect. They may remain in the Keychain after you delete the App, and are deleted on the first launch after reinstalling Google / Microsoft (sent directly from your device over HTTPS when reading events and refreshing tokens) "Disconnect" in the Calendar tab (which also asks Google to revoke the token). You can also revoke access in your Google Account's third-party apps & services, your Microsoft account's apps and services, or My Apps for work or school accounts
Your App Tracking Transparency (ATT) answer Deciding whether the IDFA may be used for ads. If you have not made an ad choice yet, this answer sets it (allowed → allow; anything else → don't allow) Managed by iOS Until you change it in iOS Settings None (if you allow tracking, the IDFA is sent to Pangle; see the table above) Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking

Don't Be Late!'s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. It is never used for advertising or to train AI or machine learning models.

2-3. Android only

The App does not access your name, phone number, address, precise (GPS) location, contacts or photos.

3. Differences between iOS and Android

ItemiOSAndroid
How you are asked about personalized ads After the initial setup, through the system ATT prompt (with no screen of the App's own before it). After answering, you can change it in "Ad settings" After the initial setup, on a screen in the App ("Allow" / "Don't allow"). You can change it at any time in "Ad settings"
Where events come from The device calendars (EventKit), plus Google Calendar directly if you connect it with Premium (Outlook is in preparation) Only the calendars synced to the device (system calendar provider)
Authentication tokens Stored in the Keychain only if you connect an account Not handled
Morning "Check today's events" notification Yes (only the on/off setting and time are stored on the device) No

4. Permissions

iOS: Calendars (full access, read only), Notifications (local notifications for event alerts and the morning reminder), Tracking (ATT, for personalized ads; every feature works without it), Google / Microsoft account (only if you connect; read-only scopes: Google calendar.readonly, Microsoft Calendars.Read, User.Read, offline_access), Background App Refresh (to follow event changes while the App is closed).

Android: Read calendar (never writes), Notifications (Android 13+), Alarms & reminders (exact alarms), foreground service and vibration (to keep vibrating until you stop it), run at startup (to reschedule alarms after a reboot), advertising ID, and internet (ads and subscriptions).

5. Third parties

Advertising identifiers and related information are sent to Pangle (an advertising platform operated by the Bytedance group) to serve ads. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). Communication with Google and Microsoft in the iOS app only reads events from the account you connected and is not a disclosure of your information. We do not share or sell your information with anyone else. See the Pangle End User Data Privacy Policy, Apple's Privacy Policy, Google's Privacy Policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
